Visiting Guest Artist Jennifer Frautschi
Visiting Guest Artist Jennifer Frautschi will be performing with the Symphony Orchestra on Sunday, November 5. This is just one of three exciting opportunities to hear and learn from this world-class performer next week!
Jennifer is a much sought-after soloist who has performed concertos with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the Chicago Symphony and the Minnesota Orchestra. She is also in demand as a chamber musician, including regular appearances at the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center. A graduate of Harvard, the Colburn School, USC, New England Conservatory and Juilliard, she is currently an instructor at Stonybrook University.
Jennifer Frautschi will be presenting a recital and masterclass at Macalester College. The MYS community is invited and both events are free to attend and open to the public.

MYS Guest Artist Jennifer Frautschi will present a violin recital at Macalester College on Thursday, November 2. The one-hour solo recital will also feature guest cellist Wilhelmina Smith.
Masterclass—Friday, November 3, 5:00–7:00 PM
This will be an exceptional opportunity for MYS students to benefit from insights shared by one of the country's leading musical talents. MYS violinists Sophia Paske, Vladimir Tsiper, Serena Zhu, and The Bells Quartet (Cecil Mummey, Isabel Li, Sonia Pillai, and Hal Beatty) will play for and receive coaching from Jennifer. All students are encouraged to come and eavesdrop on the inspiration!
