Music & Melody Makers

Saturday, April 6

Janet Wallace Fine Arts Center
130 S Macalester St.
St Paul, MN 55105

This free program presents an interactive experience with the instruments and musicians of an orchestra for preschool and early-elementary students (ages 3–7) and their families. This is a chance to get up close to instruments in an orchestra for the first time, in a structured environment.

Children will learn from MYS students through instrument demonstrations with the Wind Orchestra and a side-by-side performance with the Symphony Orchestra. There will be opportunities to try a quarter-size violin with the help of MYS staff, and play egg shakers with the Symphony Orchestra. Parents will have a chance to ask questions about how to get started with music instruction for their children. Space is limited. Pre-registration is required.
