Minnesota Youth Symphonies Summer String Chamber Orchestra
In this full-day program, students will participate in orchestra rehearsal, led by MYS conductor Patricia Kelly. During this session students will play a wide variety of repertoire and gain a large amount of experience in a short amount of time. This fun and intensive environment with Maestro Kelly will give students a new skill set that will stay with them long after the camp is finished!
Where: Messiah Episcopal Church, 1631 Ford Parkway, St. Paul, MN
When: June 17 - 21, Monday to Friday 9:00 am to 3:00 pm
Who: String Players, Average Grades 4-8
Class Requirements: Level comparable to the middle of Suzuki (violin) book 2 up to book 5. Students should be able to play and read notes on all four strings with at least the first two finger patterns. Must understand basic concepts such as dynamics, bowings and key signatures D, G, and C major, and be able to count and read rhythms.

2:00-3:00 Large Group Rehearsal
Field Trip TBD on Wednesday, June 19th
Performance on Friday, June 21nd from 2-3pm
